NYS certified 7-12 Social Studies teacher for 12 years, AP World History teacher for four years (student average ca. 4.5 for class of 24), 100% proficiency on Global Regents, close to 80% Mastery, Extensive world travel - S. Korea, Egypt, most of western and Southern Europe, Ecuador, etc. worked as archaeologist in Greece before teaching. I often work one-on-one tutoring as part of my daily schedule, but did have a long-term out of school tutoring session for student with medical needs. Although I have worked with some very gifted, independently successful students in my tenure, I also enjoy working with those who really need special help to understand topics. I have additionally taught high school English (including AP) and specialize in helping students with English composition.
